Job Description

A Healthcare Recruiter is responsible for finding, attracting, and hiring top talent for healthcare organizations. This role involves developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies, building relationships with potential candidates, and ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition: Identify and source qualified healthcare professionals, including nurses, physicians, therapists, and other allied health personnel.
  • Candidate Screening: Review resumes, conduct interviews, and assess candidates’ qualifications and fit for specific roles.
  • Networking: Build and maintain a network of potential candidates through industry events, social media, job fairs, and professional associations.
  • Job Posting: Write and post job descriptions on various job boards, company websites, and other platforms to attract qualified candidates.
  • Interview Coordination: Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a smooth interview process.
  • Background Checks: Conduct background checks and verify the credentials of potential hires to ensure they meet the organization’s standards.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide timely and effective recruitment solutions.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, salary benchmarks, and the competitive landscape to inform recruitment strategies.
  • Offer Negotiation: Assist in the negotiation of job offers, including salary, benefits, and other employment terms.
  • Onboarding Support: Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they have a positive and welcoming experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of recruiting experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
    • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
    • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
    • Knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) are a plus.
  • Experience: Experience with high-volume recruiting and familiarity with various healthcare roles and specialties.

Working Conditions:

  • Environment: Typically works in an office setting, but may occasionally attend job fairs, networking events, or visit healthcare facilities.
  • Hours: Standard full-time hours, with potential for occasional evenings or weekends depending on recruitment needs.
